River & Rails Fest is a family-friendly event and welcomes guests of all ages. Children 6 years old and under receive free admission when accompanied by a ticketed adult.
To help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests, the following items are permitted inside the River & Rails Fest concert area:
Bags
• Bags larger than 8" x 11" x 5" must be clear or mesh and single pocket
• All bags are subject to search upon entry
Permitted Items
• Up to two factory-sealed water bottles per person
• Cell phones and small portable phone chargers
• Non-aerosol sunscreen
• Low-back standard folding chairs (permitted in designated General Admission area only)
• Binoculars
• Towels and light blankets
• Small point-and-shoot digital cameras
• Hats and sunglasses
• Earplugs
• Sealed packs of cigarettes or cigars
• Vape pens and e-cigarettes
Please be mindful of those around you. If smoke or vapor disrupts another guest’s experience, staff may ask you to relocate.
River & Rails Fest reserves the right to restrict any item deemed unsafe or disruptive.

• Bags larger than 8" x 11" x 5" that are not clear or mesh single-pocket bags
• Coolers or picnic baskets
• Glass containers
• Refillable bottles including Yeti®, HydroFlask®, CamelBak®, or other hydration packs
Food & Beverages
• Outside food or beverages
Cameras & Recording Equipment
• Video cameras, GoPros, or action cameras
• Audio recording devices
• Laptops or tablets
• Professional photo, video, or audio recording equipment (including detachable lenses, tripods, large zoom lenses, or commercial-use rigs) without proper media credentials
Large or Disruptive Items
• Strollers or wagons
• Umbrellas
• Selfie sticks
• Hula hoops, totems, balloons, or beach balls
• Confetti or glow sticks
• Musical instruments
Noise or Disruption Devices
• Whistles or air horns
• Walkie-talkies or two-way radios
• Lasers or laser pointers
Hazardous or Restricted Items
• Fireworks or explosives
• Aerosol cans
• Drones
• Weapons of any kind
• Drugs or drug paraphernalia
Other Restrictions
• Pets (except service animals)
• Chains, chain wallets, or spiked accessories
• Unauthorized vending, solicitation, or advertising
• “Colors” or patches associated with organizations not permitted by festival policy
All bags are subject to search upon entry.
For the safety of all guests, River & Rails Fest reserves the right to prohibit additional items at the discretion of event organizers and security staff. Event rules may be updated or modified at any time.
Guests may bring one personal folding chair per person in designated General Admission areas. Look for fencing and signs marking “No Chairs Beyond This Point.”
Yes. Beer, wine, and mixed drinks will be sold to those 21 or older with a valid government issued photo ID.
Our team’s goal is to provide a fun and safe environment at River & Rails Fest. Please do your part by celebrating responsibly. Underage drinking and drugs of any kind (including cannabis products) are prohibited. If you plan to consume alcohol, drink responsibly and stay hydrated.
River & Rails Fest is a rain or shine event. However, there are certain circumstances in which the festival may be temporarily paused or evacuated due to inclement weather, including (but not limited to) severe thunderstorms, lightning within the festival radius, excessive winds, hail, flooding, or direction from local emergency personnel.
Our team continuously monitors weather conditions and works with safety professionals to ensure the safest event possible. If severe weather impacts the festival, updates will be communicated through stage screens, text alerts, and our social media channels.
An inclement weather plan is in place should conditions require adjustments to the event.
